Job summary

Yeemak Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced EDM Wirecut Operator at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu to operate and maintain Wire EDM machines per drawings and quality standards.

The candidate will read 2D drawings, set up and run programs, monitor processes, and perform basic troubleshooting in a production/tool room environment. Full-time role with adherence to 5S and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Machinist, Production or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of EDM Wirecut operation experience preferred.
• Hands-on with Makino, FANUC, Sodick, Mitsubishi or similar machines.
• Ability to read 2D drawings, dimensions and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC EDM Wirecut machines for precision machining.
• Set and align workpieces as per drawings and job requirements.
• Load and execute wire-cut programs and apply minor offsets/corrections.
• Set machining parameters, cutting conditions and offsets.
• Monitor processes to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Identify wire breakage, dimensional deviations and basic machine issues; report promptly.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for major machine problems; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Carry out routine cleaning and preventive maintenance; monitor consumables.
• Maintain production and inspection records; follow 5S and SOPs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible EDM Wirecut Operator to operate and maintain Wire EDM machines for precision machining of components as per engineering drawings, production requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC EDM Wirecut machines for precision machining.
• Set and align workpieces accurately as per engineering drawings and job requirements.
• Read and understand 2D engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Load and execute Wirecut programs and make minor program/offset corrections when required.
• Set appropriate machining parameters, cutting conditions, and offsets.
• Monitor the machining process and ensure dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.
• Check finished components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
• Identify and report wire breakage, dimensional deviations, and basic machine-related issues.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with the Maintenance team for major machine problems.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
• Monitor wire, dielectric fluid, filters, and other consumables.
• Maintain production records, inspection records, and job-related documents.
• Complete assigned jobs within the planned production schedule.
• Follow 5S, safety procedures, quality standards, and company SOPs.
• Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the machine and working area.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, Machinist, Production, or related discipline.

Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in EDM Wirecut operation preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in Makino, FANUC, Sodick, Mitsubishi, or similar Wire EDM machines will be preferred.
