Job summary

Fastech S&s India in Visakhapatnam, India, is seeking an experienced operator for EDM processes. You will study blueprints, CAD drawings and specifications to plan sequences of operations, and you will set up, program and monitor both Wire and Conventional EDM equipment in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years in manufacturing, strong leadership and ability to read technical docs. You will perform preventive maintenance and work with a variety of metals to meet quality

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with EDM processes and setup.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Knowledge of metals and alloys is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, CAD files and specs to plan EDM operations.
• Program and set up EDM equipment for manufacturing.
• Operate and monitor wire and conventional EDM machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance on EDM equipment.
• Read and interpret production schedules and drawings.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Min 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
• Study blueprints, sketches, CAD files, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for programming and setup of EDM equipment.
• Required for machining including Conventional EDM sparking, Hole Poppers, drills, mills, and grinders.
• Execute all operator level Preventive Maintenance tasks required for the safe and effective operation of the equipment.
• Ability to setup, operate, and monitor various Wire and Conventional EDM equipment.
• Ability to generate simple CAD drawings using AutoCad or similar CAD software
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, blueprints, design specifications, correspondence, work orders and production schedules
• Knowledge and good understanding of metals to be used from a range of metals and alloys based on properties such as harness and heat tolerance
