Job summary

Sankar Sealing in Chennai is seeking a skilled CNC Wire EDM Programmer & Operator to lead setup, programming, and production of precision components. You will read engineering drawings, program Wire EDM machines, and ensure dimensional accuracy with precision instruments.

The role requires strong knowledge of Wire EDM programming, EDM sinking/sparking, plus AutoCAD proficiency. You will uphold safety, quality standards, and collaborate on custom parts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as CNC Wire EDM Programmer & Operator.
• Proficient in programming and operating Wire EDM machines.
• Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines for precision component manufacturing.
• Program Wire EDM machines to ensure accurate and high-quality machining.
• Independently perform machine setup, programming, and production operations.
• Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of Wire EDM machines.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and production schedules.
• Operate and maintain Spark Erosion (EDM Sinking/Sparking) machines when required.
• Work effectively on custom and non-standard components.
