Role & responsibilities

1. Job Summary

We are looking for a technically strong VMware VDI Deployment & Troubleshooting Engineer with hands-on experience in VMware Horizon, VMware vSphere, and cloud environments. The engineer will be responsible for customer deployments, configuration, troubleshooting, migration, upgrades, and post-deployment support of VMware VDI environments across Microsoft Azure, AWS, and on-premises/cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong VMware Horizon expertise along with working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, Linux, Nutanix, Azure, and AWS.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot VMware Horizon VDI environments.
• Perform end-to-end VDI implementation activities from design validation through production handover.
• Deploy and configure Horizon Connection Servers, Unified Access Gateway (UAG), App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM).
• Configure and manage Instant Clone and desktop pools.
• Deploy and manage VMware virtual machines using vCenter and ESXi.
• Troubleshoot VDI login, authentication, connectivity, application, profile, performance, and desktop provisioning issues.
• Perform VMware Horizon upgrades, migrations, patching, and health checks.
• Deploy and troubleshoot VDI environments hosted on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Work with customer teams to troubleshoot cloud networking and connectivity issues.
• Support integration with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and authentication services.
• Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting and coordinate with OEM/vendor support where required.
