Job summary

Stefanini North America and APAC is seeking an Azure Virtual Desktop engineer in Hyderabad to architect, deploy, and manage AVD environments. The role involves planning host pools, session hosts, and user profiles with solid networking and security practices.

You will work with VMware Horizon and Citrix in integration scenarios, while monitoring and troubleshooting Azure infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

Qualifications

• Plan, develop, and configure Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure from concept to stabilization.
• Architect robust AVD solutions with network security and access controls.
• Include experience with Horizon and Citrix in design, operations, and migrations.
• Provide guidance to project teams during AVD implementations and operations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Azure infrastructure issues.
• Deploy AVD components: host pools, session hosts, and user profiles.
• Understand AVD components and integrate with AD, JIT, and image management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot AVD environments, optimize performance.
• Lead deployment of AVD infrastructure on Azure including host pools.
• Configure AAD integration and image management for AVD.
• Coordinate with clients on requirements and security policies.

Job Requirements

• Plan, develop, and configure Azure Virtual desktop infrastructure from conceptualization through stabilization using various Azure tools, methodology, design best practices, etc.
• Architect and design robust Azure AVD solutions aligned with client requirements, including network configuration, security policies, and user access management.Hostpools and capacity management to design the host pools accordingly
• Must have other VDI solutions like VMware Horizon and Citrix in the area of implement and design, operations, and migrations.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to project teams during AVD implementation and ongoing operations
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues in Azure cloud,
• Hands-on deployment of AVD hashtag#infrastructure on Azure, including host pools, application groups, session hosts, and user profiles
• Configure and manage AVD components like AzureActiveDirectory (AAD) integration, Just-In-Time (JIT) provisioning, and image management.
• Good understanding of Azure Virtual desktop. Hostpools, Pooled AVD personal AVD, Remote apps.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AVD environments, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks or connectivity issues
• Analyze AVD usage patterns and identify areas for optimization to improve performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement automation scripts to streamline AVD management tasks and reduce operational overhead.
• Act as a primary technical contact for clients regarding AVD queries, troubleshooting, and support.
• Experience in keeping cloud environment secure and proactively preventing downtime
• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Perform routine infrastructure analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or improve SLAs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, customer service and people skills
• Good knowledge in determining associated security risks and mitigation techniques.

• Own the design documentation of solution implemented i.e. High Level Low Level Design documents.
• Perform routine infrastructure analysis and evaluation on resource requirements necessary to maintain and/or improve SLAs.
• Participating in rotating schedule and monthly maintenance activities like server patching would be helpful
• Provide restorative or maintenance actions to resolve end-user issues
• Assist with special project work as needed
• Ability to work a 24 x 7 schedule required
