Licious, a Bengaluru-based meat and seafood company, seeks a hands-on procurement professional to oversee livestock sourcing and vendor management. You will ensure quality at slaughterhouse sessions, onboard reliable vendors, and conduct regular audits to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in livestock procurement, meat industry operations, or agricultural sourcing.
• Identify and onboard new vendors in alignment with Licious Standard Specifications to ensure a consistent supply of Goat and Lamb.
• Conduct regular audits of vendor facilities to ensure compliance with respect to quality.
• Visit local markets (Shanties/Mandies) to evaluate and purchase live animals, ensuring the selection of healthy livestock.
• Develop a direct-to-farm network by identifying and engaging farmers for bulk purchases, reducing dependency on middlemen.
• Maintain real-time reporting on yield, quality, and processing standards.
• Travel extensively to rural markets (Shanties/Mandis) and work flexible hours in sync with slaughterhouse timing.
• Negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing and bulk deal closures.
• Ability to identify quality livestock and understand meat "specs" (weight, age,)
