Medha Servo Drives in Hyderabad, India seeks a Vendor Development/Procurement professional with 5–15 years of experience. You will drive supplier development, manage procurement activities, and coordinate across design, production, and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted material supply.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, knowledge of manufacturing processes, and familiarity with SAP procurement.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–15 years experience in vendor development/procurement.
• Experience in SAP procurement is an advantage.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and BOM interpretation.

Responsabilités

• Develop and qualify suppliers for critical components.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms with vendors.
• Issue POs and ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality and delivery.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and standards.
• Develop new vendors and alternate sources.
• Expedite delayed deliveries and resolve supply issues.
• Evaluate suppliers and quality development of supply chain.
• Advise on Incoterms, GST and commercial procurement practices.

Position: Vendor Development/Procurement

Experience: 5-15 Years

Educational Qualification: B.Tech (Mech)

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Supplier Development & Knowledge in Mfg, Should be expert in developing components in Machine tools/Auto / Fabrication areas.
• 2. Should have good knowledge on Casting, Forging Components, fabricated parts, machined components, sheet metal parts, fasteners, bearings, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatic items.
• 3. Experience in manufacturing/automotive industry, quality evaluation of suppliers, quality development of supply chain management, working in SAP information system is an advantage.
• 4. Develop new vendors and qualify alternate sources for critical components.
• 5. Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
• 6. Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• 7. Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.
• 8. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• 9. Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• 10. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material availability. 11. Resolve supply issues and expedite delayed deliveries.

Preferred Knowledge:

• 1. Manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting, forging, sheet metal, heat treatment, and surface coating.
• 2. Technical drawing interpretation and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• 3. Knowledge of Incoterms, GST, and commercial procurement practices. 4. Exposure to ISO quality systems and supplier audits.
