The role drives safety, reliability, energy efficiency, statutory compliance, and cost optimization while building and mentoring a high-performing utility team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Experience leading large engineering and utility teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of all plant utilities (refrigeration, boilers, electrical, water treatment, HVAC).
• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Drive energy conservation and utility cost optimization while ensuring reliability.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, Factory Act, Boiler Regulations, Electrical Safety and environmental norms.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of utility engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:-

The Plant Utility Head is responsible for leading all utility operations of the Frozen Vegetable Processing Plant, ensuring 24*7 availability of utilities to support uninterrupted production. The role includes managing refrigeration, boiler, electrical, water treatment, compressed air, HVAC, DG sets, and cold storage systems while driving safety, reliability, energy efficiency, statutory compliance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Ensure uninterrupted operation of all plant utilities, including Ammonia Refrigeration, IQF Freezers, Cold Storage, Boilers, Compressors, Chillers, DG Sets, Electrical Systems, ETP, and Fire Protection Systems.
• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to achieve maximum plant uptime.
• Drive energy conservation, utility cost optimization, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, Factory Act, Boiler Regulations, Electrical Safety, and Environmental norms.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of Utility Engineers, Refrigeration Engineers, Boiler Operators, Electricians, Technicians, and Contractors.
• Lead and develop Utility Engineers, Supervisors, Operators, and Technicians.
• Support audits, statutory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and plant uptime.

Candidate Profile:-

• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, energy management, reliability engineering, and utility cost optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing large engineering and utility teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of preventive & predictive maintenance, energy management, reliability engineering, and utility cost optimisation.
