Job summary
Layam is seeking an experienced Utility Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain plant utility systems, specializing in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Water Recycle Plant (WRP) operations at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
You will ensure uninterrupted utility services, perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, and support energy-saving initiatives while complying with EHS and ISO standards.
Qualifications
- We require Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Hands-on experience in managing WTP and WRP operations.
- Experience in preventive, breakdown maintenance and utility systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Water Recycle Plant (WRP).
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment.
- Maintain air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, DG sets, pumps, and HVAC utilities.
- Monitor water quality and chemical dosing, troubleshoot utility equipment.
- Ensure minimum downtime via preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with production teams for uninterrupted utility supply.
- Maintain maintenance records and utility consumption reports.
- Ensure EHS, ISO compliance and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate vendors and spare parts planning.
- Support energy-saving and utility optimization initiatives.

- Operation & Maintenance of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Water Recycle Plant (WRP).
- Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance of utility equipment.
- Maintain Air Compressors, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Boilers, DG Sets, Pumps, Water Distribution Systems, and HVAC utilities.
- Monitor water quality parameters and chemical dosing.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical utility equipment.
- Ensure minimum downtime through preventive maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with production teams for uninterrupted utility supply.
- Maintain maintenance records, log sheets, and utility consumption reports.
