Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric India is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to manage the operation and maintenance of electrical distribution systems, DG sets, HVAC, and utility networks in a manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes safety, LOTO, root-cause analysis, and energy-saving initiatives to ensure uninterrupted production and compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications

  • B. Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • B. Tech/B.E.: 46 years of relevant experience.
  • Diploma: 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Plant Utilities / Facility Engineering / Electrical Maintenance.
  • Hands-on exposure to electrical and utility systems in manufacturing/automotive environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety, LOTO and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operation and maintenance of HT/LT electrical distribution systems, transformers, VCB/ACB and protection systems.
  • Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of DG sets, DG synchronization panels and online UPS / emergency power systems.
  • Manage air compressors, dryers and compressed-air distribution systems.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC, ventilation, pumps and water systems.
  • Monitor solar/renewable energy systems and energy consumption, supporting energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Coordinate fire & life-safety interfaces, testing and statutory compliance.
  • Monitor utility meters, BMS and utility monitoring systems.
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of utility equipment.
  • Ensure implementation of LOTO and safe-work practices during maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot utility equipment failures and conduct RCA to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical, safety and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, contractors and external agencies for maintenance and inspections.
  • Identify and implement energy-saving, reliability improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain utility maintenance records, equipment history and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure optimum availability and reliability of utility systems to support uninterrupted production.

Candidate Profile
  • B. Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • B. Tech/B.E.: 46 years of relevant experience.
  • Diploma: 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in Plant Utilities / Facility Engineering / Electrical Maintenance.
  • Strong hands-on exposure to electrical and utility systems in a manufacturing/automotive plant environment.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety, LOTO and statutory compliance.
