Job summary

Hector And Streak Consulting, Pune Plant, seeks a Transportation & Logistics Manager with 3–6 years’ experience in FMCG manufacturing to oversee export FG dispatch and domestic/international shipments.

You will coordinate with warehouses, 3PLs, transporters and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery, optimize inventory, and manage SAP-based logistics processes, focusing on cost efficiency and service levels.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in transportation, warehouse management and export logistics in FMCG manufacturing.
• Capable of coordinating with warehouses, 3PLs, transporters and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure uninterrupted logistics.
• Strong focus on service levels, cost efficiency and timely shipments.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export FG transportation and dispatch operations for domestic and international customers.
• Coordinate with external warehouses, 3PL partners, transporters and internal stakeholders to resolve IBD/OBD issues.
• Plan export containers, vessel bookings and freight-forwarding activities to meet monthly schedules and customer commitments.
• Drive same-month export dispatch execution by monitoring readiness, availability, and vessel schedules.
• Develop forward-looking FG storage and inventory strategies supporting up to 30 days of export inventory.
• Oversee SAP-based logistics processes and coordinate with IT/SAP for issue resolution.
• Implement inventory control and dwell-time monitoring through audits and reconciliations.
• Optimize FG inventory across storage locations to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
• Monitor 3PL and transporter performance using KPIs and drive improvements.

Role

• Managed end-to-end Export Finished Goods (FG) transportation and dispatch operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of finished goods for domestic and international customers.
• Coordinated with external warehouses, 3PL partners, transporters, and internal stakeholders to resolve IBD/OBD issues and ensure uninterrupted logistics operations.
• Managed export container planning, vessel bookings, and freight-forwarding activities, ensuring adherence to monthly service levels, shipment schedules, and customer delivery commitments.
• Drove same-month export dispatch execution by closely monitoring shipment readiness, transportation availability, warehouse capacity, documentation, and vessel schedules.
• Developed forward-looking Finished Goods storage and inventory strategies in collaboration with transportation and warehousing teams, supporting up to 30 days of export inventory availability.
• Managed SAP-based logistics processes, including delivery-related transactions, system modifications, troubleshooting, and coordination with IT/SAP support teams for timely resolution of system issues.
• Implemented robust inventory control and dwell-time monitoring processes across plant and external warehouses through periodic audits, stock reconciliation, and corrective actions.
• Optimized Finished Goods inventory levels across multiple storage locations to maintain required service levels while minimizing stockouts, excess inventory, and inventory carrying costs.
• Monitored 3PL and transporter performance using operational KPIs, identifying performance gaps and driving corrective and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Managed logistics vendor relationships, including performance reviews, issue resolution, service-level adherence, and improvement plans.
• Collaborated cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Production, Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, Procurement, Finance, IT, and Freight Forwarders to ensure seamless logistics execution.
