Job summary

SYSTRA India, a renowned international consulting and engineering firm, seeks a Transport Expert for upcoming urban planning projects. The role focuses on preparing mobility plans, conducting demand assessments, and improving multimodal transport connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate or postgraduate degree in relevant fields and a minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation planning and urban mobility. On-site work in India is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, mobility planning, or transport infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering principles.
• Experience in urban mobility planning and public transport systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review transportation and mobility plans for urban and regional development projects.
• Conduct transportation demand assessment and traffic impact studies.
• Analyze existing traffic conditions, travel patterns, and transportation infrastructure.
• Identify transportation bottlenecks, mobility gaps, and infrastructure requirements.
• Assess existing public transportation systems and service coverage.
• Develop proposals for improvement of public transport networks and multimodal connectivity.
• Plan transportation infrastructure including roads, junctions, transit corridors, pedestrian networks, and cycling facilities.
• Recommend infrastructure upgrades and future transport investments.
• Utilize transport planning software and analytical tools for modelling and forecasting.
• Prepare technical evaluations and planning recommendations.

Missions/Main Duties

Profile/Skills

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, mobility planning, or transport infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of transportation planning and traffic engineering principles.
• Experience in urban mobility planning and public transport systems.
