Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Town Planning Expert for upcoming urban planning projects. This role focuses on preparing master plans, land-use analyses, and development regulations, with emphasis on growth opportunities and compliance with planning norms.

The candidate should hold graduate and postgraduate degrees in related fields, possess GIS experience, and bring at least ten years of professional planning experience to collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Planning, or Geography.
• Postgraduate degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning, City Planning, Regional Planning, Infrastructure Planning, or equivalent.
• Knowledge and working experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications for planning and development projects.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in planning and development projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review master plans, development plans, town planning schemes, and regional plans.
• Conduct land-use analysis, spatial planning studies, and growth assessment exercises.
• Assist in formulation of development regulations, zoning policies, and planning standards.
• Analyze demographic, socio-economic, environmental, and infrastructure-related data.
• Assess existing urban conditions and identify development opportunities and constraints.
• Participate in meetings, consultations, workshops, and stakeholder interactions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure planning proposals comply with applicable national, state, and local planning regulations.
• Review statutory provisions, development control regulations, and planning policies relevant to the project.

Profile/Skills

• Knowledge and working experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications for planning and development projects.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in planning and development projects.
