Job summary

SYSTRA India seeks a Transport Planner to contribute to the planning and redevelopment of transportation networks. The role involves reviewing railway policies, drafting guidelines, and performing modeling and simulations for stations and master plans.

You will work on transport planning methodologies, station development concepts, and related railway guidelines to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and promote sustainable mobility across projects in India.

Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of planning tools and transport modeling software.
• Experience reviewing railway policies, manuals and guidelines.
• Familiarity with MSSR, NBC, MOHUA, UTtiPEC IS codes and related transport laws.

Responsibilities

• Review existing railway policies, manuals and guidelines to develop transport plans and strategies.
• Draft/update railway policies, manuals and guidelines for transport planning.
• Conduct transport planning work, model split assessment and parking ECS calculations for master plans.
• Perform transport modeling and traffic simulation for railway stations and TOD.
• Review Station Master Plans and related drawings from a transport planning perspective.
• R&D works for station redevelopment related to transport planning as assigned.

Context

TRANSPORT PLANNER

Missions/Main Duties

oReviewing of existing Railway policies, manuals and guidelines for developing and implementing transportation plans and strategies to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance sustainability of transportation systems

• Drafting/Updating railway policies, manuals and guidelines, Transport planning Methodologies' and manual etc .
• transport planning work, Model split assessment and parking ECS calculation related to Master plan assessment, Station development plan and ancillary facilities associated to station development.
• Transport modeling, traffic simulation/ traffic data assessment related to Railway stations /TOD etc.
• Reviewing Station Master Plans, concept / Tender Stage drawings/GFC stage , architecture /transport planning related drawings, masterplan plan drawings in terms of transport planning etc

oR&D Works for station redevelopment related to Transport planning or any other R&D work as assigned by client.

oKnowledge of Guidelines related to railways/station development like MSSR, NBC,MOHUA,UTTIPEC, IS codes related and Indian/Sate/Local Bodies laws related to transport planning.

Profile/Skills

oHands on Knowledge of Planning Tools like MS Project & vism , cube , power point , AutoCAD and other relevant 3d software's used transport modeling software's.
