Job summary

SYSTRA India, a leading engineering and consulting group, seeks a Team Leader/Urban Planner to drive GIS-based master planning initiatives. You will oversee GIS analysts, urban planners, data scientists, and consultants, ensuring data integration, QA of spatial outputs, and stakeholder engagement.

The role requires a Masters in planning with 15 years’ experience and a track record of at least three major master/development plans.

Qualifications

• Masters in Urban/Regional/Infrastructure/Transport/Housing/Environment Planning or equivalent with 15 years’ experience.
• Prepared at least three master plans/GIS plans/ zonal plans/ development plans/ City Development Plan.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the GIS-based Master Plan project in alignment with client objectives and regulatory frameworks.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of GIS analysts, urban planners, data scientists, and technical consultants.
• Oversee the integration of spatial data, remote sensing, and geospatial analysis into planning workflows.
• Ensure quality control of spatial datasets, maps, and analytical outputs.
• Liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and community representatives to gather inputs and present findings.
• Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and present technical reports, visualizations, and planning documents.
• Stay updated on emerging GIS technologies and planning methodologies to enhance project outcomes.

Currently, we are bidding for Urban Planning projects across India. The position of Team Leader/Urban Planner is the key position in these BIDs.
