Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Transition Manager to lead end-to-end transition planning for applications and services. You will own the transition lifecycle from design to production handover, defining plans, timelines, entry/exit criteria, and deliverables while ensuring readiness across infrastructure and environments.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience in ITSM/ITIL transitions, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Transition Planning & Execution: own the transition lifecycle from design to production handover.
• Define transition plans, timelines, entry/exit criteria, and deliverables.
• Ensure readiness across Infrastructure, hosting, and environments.
• Handle application deployments, configuration, and integrations.
• Support model readiness (L1/L2/L3).
• Validate non-functional readiness: performance, failover, backup/recovery, monitoring.
• Address security, compliance, supportability, maintainability.
• Complete transition checklists, runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge transfer.
• Act as central point between Project/Delivery, Operations, Infrastructure, and platform teams.
• Coordinate defect resolution, risk closure, and readiness gaps.
• Governance & Control: lead Go/No-Go decisions and permit-to-operate discussions.
• Govern Warranty/Early Life Support SLA/OLA readiness.
• Track transition risk logs and issue tracking.
• Reporting & Metrics: dashboards and leadership reports.

Requirements

• 8–12 years’ experience in Transition / Service Management / Delivery
• Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Transition processes
• Experience managing enterprise-scale application transitions
• Good understanding of testing, infrastructure, and application lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
• Experience with RTPA / Operational Readiness frameworks
• Solid presentation skills, and an ability to influence an audience of technical teams
• Possess an innovative mindset, open to sharing new ideas and work comfortably within global teams
