Job summary

The Search House in India is seeking a skilled sheet metal tool and die maker to manufacture, assemble, repair, and maintain dies and tooling for production lines. You will read drawings, operate lathe/milling/grinding equipment, and troubleshoot tool issues to prevent downtime.

The role requires 5–15 years’ experience with sheet metal tooling, an ITI/ diploma/ B.Tech background, and a readiness to work overtime as needed, with safety and 5S practices emphasized on site.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma / B.Tech in relevant engineering field.
• 5–15 years of experience in sheet metal tooling and die making.
• Ability to read engineering drawings accurately.
• Willingness to work extended hours as overtime per policy.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble sheet metal dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and modification of dies.
• Handle press tools (progressive, compound, single operation).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Operate tool room machines (lathe, milling, grinding, drilling).
• Inspect components using measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometer, etc.).
• Troubleshoot tool-related issues to minimize production downtime.
• Maintain tool history records and ensure preventive maintenance.
• Follow safety standards and 5S practices in the workplace.

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / B.Tech

Experience: 5 15 Years Salary: Negotiable (Depending on Experience)

Duty Hours & Compensation

Standard duty hours: 12 hours per day

8:30 hours will be considered as normal working hours

Additional 3:30 hours will be treated as overtime

Overtime will be paid extra as per company policy / applicable labour laws

Job Purpose
