Job summary

Srinar Electronics in Chennai seeks a skilled Tool Fabrication & Reconditioning specialist to grind carbide shank tools, sharpen drills, reamers, and end mills to exact specifications from drawings.

Experience with manual or semi-automatic universal grinders like SIGMA UTC 280 or SIGT SG4 is preferred, along with the ability to read internal drawings and maintain tight tolerances.

• Experience with manual or semi-automatic grinding equipment and tooling setup.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carbide Boring & Undercut Bars: precision grind carbide shank tools to exact profiles, rake angles, clearance angles, and tip radii.
• HSS Parting Tools: grind square-shank HSS parting/grooving tools with correct back rake, side clearance, and front relief.
• Drills & Form Drills: fabricate and sharpen standard twist drills and custom step/form drills to customer or internal drawing dimensions.
• Reamers: grind OD relief, lead chamfers, and flute geometry on expansion and solid reamers.
• End Mills: perform end-face re-sharpening, OD grinding, radial/axial clearance setup, and edge prep on multi-flute carbide and HSS end mills.
