Job summary

Plansee Group in India seeks a skilled Tool & Cutter Grinder to manufacture and recondition cutting tools. You will set up grinding machines, adjust parameters, and ensure accurate dimensions per drawings, using CNC and conventional tools.

Ideal candidates have an ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2–5 years of experience, strong tool geometry knowledge, and a focus on quality and safety in a precision environment.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of tool and cutter grinding experience.
• Knowledge of tool geometry and cutting tool applications.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with CNC and conventional tool grinding machines.
• Understanding of grinding wheels and dressing techniques.
• Good problem-solving and quality-conscious attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate tool and cutter grinding machines to manufacture and recondition cutting tools.
• Grind end mills, drills, reamers, form tools, PCD pocket, and special cutting tools per drawings.
• Set up and adjust grinding machine parameters to meet dimensions and surface finish.
• Inspect tools using micrometres, verniers, profile projectors, and gauges.
• Maintain tool quality and adhere to tolerances.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Follow safety and quality standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Operate tool and cutter grinding machines to manufacture and recondition cutting tools.


• Grind end mills, drills, reamers, form tools, PCD pocket, and special cutting tools as per drawings.


• Set up and adjust grinding machine parameters to achieve required dimensions and surface finish.


• Inspect tools using measuring instruments such as micrometres, verniers, profile projectors, and gauges.


• Maintain tool quality and adhere to specified tolerances.


• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping activities.


• Follow safety and quality standards.

Profile & Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
