Job summary

Waltex Tools and Machines in Coimbatore is seeking a CNC operator to assist in operation and setup of precision grinding machines. Freshers are welcome, with preference for candidates having 2 years in CNC grinding or precision engineering. Diploma or BE/BTech in Mechanical Eng. Opportunity to grow in CNC machining and precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operation.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Basic understanding of dimensional tolerances and quality inspection.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and setup of CNC grinding machines used in precision tool manufacturing.
• Support production activities to ensure smooth and efficient machine operation.

• Monitor machining operations and maintain product quality.
• Perform dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers and gauges.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
• Identify machining issues and report machine abnormalities to the supervisor.
• Follow production schedules, quality standards and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance practices.
• Coordinate with the production and quality teams to achieve production targets.

Educational Qualification

Experience

• Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in CNC grinding, CNC machining or precision engineering will be preferred.
• Experience in cutting tool manufacturing or precision grinding will be an added advantage.
