The role covers scrutiny of approved drawings, verification of on-site construction against drawings and tender specifications, assurance of construction quality, structured report preparation, and certification of measurements and running bills. • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drawing Review & Technical Scrutiny
  • Review approved GFC structural and architectural drawings for completeness, internal consistency and conformity with tender requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies, omissions or specification conflicts and raise them before they affect site execution.
  • Maintain an up-to-date register of approved drawing revisions in use at site.
  • Site Inspection & Conformance Verification
  • Conduct stage-wise inspections to verify that construction conforms to approved drawings and tender specifications / BOQ.
  • Witness and clear hold points and stage-passing checkpoints before work proceeds.
  • Record deviations and ensure corrective action is taken and re-verified.
  • Quality Assurance & Code Compliance
  • Verify materials and workmanship against applicable IS codes and the governing departmental specification (CPWD / state PWD / MORTH / IRC / NBC as applicable).
  • Witness or review material and field tests — concrete cubes, reinforcement, compaction, NDT — and assess results against acceptance criteria.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track them to closure.
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare inspection reports, stage-passing checklists and NCRs with photographic and measurement evidence.
  • Maintain a complete, traceable audit trail suitable for review by the appointing authority and auditors.
  • Submit periodic progress and quality reports within agreed turnaround times.

  • Flag and resolve measurement discrepancies before certification.
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (essential).
  • Master in Construction Management (NICMAR or equivalent) — preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years in civil QA/QC, site execution, or third-party inspection; exposure to government projects preferred.
  • Chartered Engineer (Institution of Engineers India) — advantageous; supports certification credibility on government empanelment.
  • Working knowledge of relevant IS codes (IS 456, IS 800, IS 383, IS 1200) and the governing departmental specification (MORTH / IRC for infrastructure; CPWD / PWD / NBC for buildings).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (drawing reading) and MS Excel / Office (measurement sheets, reports)

  • Independence and integrity — able to remain impartial and hold ground with contractors as the Third Party representative.
  • Strong documentation discipline and attention to detail.
  • Clear technical communication, both written and verbal, with authority and contractor stakeholders.
  • Diligence and ownership in following observations through to closure.
