Job summary

Mars Tech Energy is seeking a Tendering & Bid Specialist to identify government tender opportunities, review documents, and prepare comprehensive technical and commercial submissions. You will handle BOQ, cost estimation, and vendor coordination to ensure compliant, timely bids.

Join a team focused on infrastructure and energy projects, leveraging GeM and other portals. 2–5 years of relevant experience with strong Excel skills is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Diploma/B.Tech/MBA in Civil, Electrical, Construction Management, Operations or related field.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, bidding, procurement or business development.
  • Hands-on experience with government e-tender portals and reverse bidding processes.
  • Strong knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, costing and tender documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and track tender opportunities on government portals and other sources.
  • Review tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specs, BOQ and terms.
  • Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions within deadlines.
  • Prepare BOQ, rate analysis, cost estimation and comparative statements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and inputs.
  • Collect and prepare required tender documents, declarations, affidavits and EMD.
  • Monitor amendments, pre-bid queries and clarifications; assist pricing and approvals.
  • Maintain records of submitted tenders and results; support post-tender activities.

Job description

Role & responsibilities


  • Identify and track new tender opportunities on GeM, CPPP, e-Tender, PWD, CPWD, NTPC, RVNL, BHEL and other government portals.

  • Review tender documents, eligibility criteria, technical specifications, BOQ and commercial terms.

  • Prepare complete technical and commercial tender submissions within deadlines.

  • Prepare BOQ, rate analysis, cost estimation and comparative statements.

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for quotations and technical/commercial inputs.

  • Collect and prepare required tender documents, declarations, affidavits, EMD and other supporting documents.

  • Monitor corrigendum, amendments, pre-bid queries and tender clarifications.

  • Coordinate with the management for pricing, approvals and final bid submission.

  • Maintain records of submitted tenders, bid status, results and upcoming opportunities.

  • Support post-tender negotiations, LOA/PO documentation and contract-related activities.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with tender requirements.


Preferred candidate profile


  • Graduate/Diploma/B.Tech/MBA in Civil, Electrical, Construction Management, Operations or a related field.

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, bidding, procurement or business development, preferably in the construction/infrastructure sector.

  • Hands-on experience with GeM, CPPP and other government e-tendering portals.

  • Good knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, costing, estimation and tender documentation.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

  • Ability to understand technical specifications, tender terms & conditions and eligibility requirements.

  • Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.

  • Good coordination skills with vendors, subcontractors and internal teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict submission deadlines.

  • Candidates with experience in government/PSU tenders such as PWD, CPWD, NTPC, RVNL, BHEL, THDC, etc. will be preferred.
