Job summary

Desire Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Jaipur seeks a Tender & Cost Estimation professional to review documents, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare cost estimates for civil, pipeline, mechanical and infrastructure works. You will develop item-wise cost sheets, verify BOQ quantities and assist in bid pricing and submission.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, strong Excel skills, and experience in EPC/Turnkey projects with a focus on accuracy and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with exposure to cost estimation and tendering.
• Strong analytical ability and ability to interpret drawings and specs.
• Experience with EPC/Turnkey projects and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract conditions.
• Analyze project scope, technical requirements and commercial risks.
• Prepare pre-bid queries and assist in technical clarifications.
• Support preparation and submission of tender documents within timelines.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, pipeline, mechanical and infra works.
• Develop item-wise cost sheets including materials, labour, equipment, transport, overheads, contingencies and profit margins.
• Verify BOQ quantities and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare rate analysis and pricing; evaluate market rates and optimize pricing.
• Obtain quotations from vendors; prepare comparative statements; coordinate with procurement.
• Maintain cost databases and prepare estimation reports and bid summaries.

Tender & Bid Management Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract conditions, Analyze project scope, technical requirements, and commercial risks, Prepare pre-bid queries and assist in technical clarifications, Support preparation and submission of tender documents within stipulated timelines.

Cost Estimation & Quantity Take-Off Perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings and BOQs, Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, pipeline, mechanical, and associated infrastructure works, Develop item-wise cost sheets covering materials, labour, equipment, transportation, temporary works, overheads, contingencies and profit margins, Verify BOQ quantities and identify discrepancies. Rate Analysis & Pricing Prepare detailed rate analysis for schedule and non-schedule items, Develop productivity-based cost calculations for labour and machinery, Evaluate market rates and optimize project pricing while maintaining profitability, Prepare bid summaries and pricing recommendations for management approval. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, Prepare comparative statements and evaluate commercial offers, Coordinate with procurement and project teams for cost inputs and technical clarifications.

Cost Database & Reporting Maintain updated databases for material prices, labour rates, equipment costs, vendor information, and historical project data, Prepare estimation reports, bid summaries, assumptions, and management presentations, Monitor market trends affecting construction costs. Project Experienceе Experience in estimation and costing for: Water Supply Projects, Sewerage Networks, Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Transmission & Distribution Pipelines, Pumping Stations, ESR/OHSR/GLSR, Intake Wells, Civil Structures, Road Restoration Works, Pipelines, EPC and Turnkey Infrastructure Projects.
