Job summary

N G Gadhiya Infrastructure in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is seeking an Estimation Engineer for Building Construction EPC projects. You will prepare QTOs and BOQs, and develop conceptual cost estimates from drawings and scope matrices to support tender submissions.

You will perform rate analysis, vendor rate collection, price negotiations, and risk assessment to finalize tenders. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; a Diploma/BE/BTech in Civil Engineering is required.

Job description

Position: Estimation Engineer Building Construction (EPC Projects)

Key Responsibilities

1. Estimation & Quantity Take-Off (QTO)

• Prepare accurate Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) from construction drawings and develop detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for Item Rate Tenders.
• Perform conceptual cost estimation for EPC/Turnkey projects based on preliminary drawings, design concepts, and scope matrices.
• Estimate structural and architectural quantities with appropriate risk-adjusted cost modeling.

2. Vendor Management & Procurement Rate Analysis

• Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) to material suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for major construction packages such as concrete, steel, masonry, finishing works, MEP services, and equipment.
• Collect, evaluate, compare, and normalize vendor quotations to maintain an updated market rate database.
• Negotiate competitive prices and commercial terms with vendors and specialized subcontractors.

3. Rate Analysis & Cost Estimation

• Carry out detailed rate analysis for non‑scheduled, specialized, and custom items based on material, labour, machinery, overheads, and profit margins.
• Consider site logistics, indirect costs, statutory taxes, insurance, transportation, and price escalation while preparing estimates.
• Ensure accurate project costing aligned with tender requirements and company profitability.

4. Tender & Bid Preparation

• Consolidate direct and indirect costs to prepare the final tender price/quotation for client submission.
• Perform risk assessment and sensitivity analysis to identify pricing contingencies.
• Prepare detailed Cost Comparison Statements (Comparative Statements) and bid summaries for management approval.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate bid submission.

Qualification

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of building construction methodologies, CPWD/DSR specifications, IS Codes, and construction materials.
• Software Proficiency: Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD and Advanced MS Excel.
• EPC & BOQ Expertise: Sound understanding of EPC/Turnkey contracts, structural and architectural drawings, BOQ preparation, and quantity estimation.
• Vendor Management: Proven experience in vendor development, rate analysis, commercial evaluation, and price negotiation.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent numerical and analytical abilities with a strong focus on accuracy, cost optimization, and identification of unpriced risks in tender documents.
• Communication: Good coordination, documentation, and interpersonal skills for working with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
