Job summary

Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, seeks a telecom support specialist to monitor service availability, coordinate issue resolution, and manage activations, IVR, and bulk SMS operations.

You will coordinate broadband installations, liaise with vendors, and support network performance analysis while maintaining documentation and field support activities.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN and Wi‑Fi.
• Knowledge of IP addressing, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS, DHCP and NAT.
• Basic understanding of routers, switches, firewalls and fiber connectivity.
• Ability to perform basic network troubleshooting using ping, traceroute and IP configuration tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telecom service availability, connectivity, and coordinate issue resolution.
• Handle new SIM activations, replacements, deactivations, CUG, and mobile number management.
• Manage IVR queues, agent mapping, user creation, password resets, and calling application support.
• Manage Bulk SMS operations, DLT templates, headers, and vendor follow-up for SMS delivery issues.
• Coordinate broadband/fiber installations, shifting, closures, fiber troubleshooting, and internal fiber splicing.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors for service requests, approvals, escalations, and site visits.
• Support mobile network coverage analysis, tower feasibility, and coverage improvement activities.
• Maintain telecom documentation, service records, weekly reports, downtime tracking, and operational follow-ups.
• Provide end-user support for telecom-related requests and coordinate field support activities.

• Provide end-user support for telecom-related requests and coordinate field support activities.

Skills
