Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Telecom Engineer in Mumbai to design, deploy and maintain telecom systems including VoIP, data networks, PAGA, CCTV, and access control solutions. The role involves configuring SIP/ IP PBX gear, monitoring performance, and ensuring high availability of telecom networks in alignment with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with telecom systems such as PAGA, CCTV, ACS, SCADA, RTU, VSAT and related telecom networks.
• Hands-on experience configuring SIP servers, IP PBX systems, gateways, routers and switches.
• Knowledge of VoIP design, capacity planning and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards in telecom engineering.
• Awareness of hazardous area classifications and protection philosophies.

Job Description: Telecom Engineer

• The candidate should be conversant with Systems such as Telephone/In plant paging/PAGA/CCTV /ACS/Data network/SCS/ VSAT, TETRA/DMR, Wireless radio (VHF/UHF), GSM systems, etc. Knowledge of international and domestic good engineering practices Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of Hazardous area classification & protection philosophies.
• Experience in making Telecom Design Basis and deploying VoIP solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Configuring and maintaining VoIP equipment and software, including SIP servers, IP PBX systems, gateways, routers, and switches.
• Monitoring and optimizing VoIP system performance, capacity, and availability.
• Handle telecom systems, telecom networks (including fiber optic networks), and other systems like RTU, SCADA, PAGA, CCTV, access control systems, Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Satellite Transmission Systems VSAT, Radio, LAN/ WAN, telephone & video conferencing.
