Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to provide technical and application support for industrial equipment and machinery. The role will be responsible for maintaining and managing the demonstration lab, supporting product demonstrations, machine installation and commissioning, preventive/breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, and providing technical assistance to customers and the sales team.

The position will work closely with the Technical Service Manager (TSM) and cross-functional teams to ensure equipment readiness, smooth demonstrations and effective resolution of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Demo Lab / Demonstration Centre, ensuring all machines and equipment are operational and ready for customer demonstrations.
• Conduct product demonstrations, application trials and technical presentations for customers, sales teams and channel partners.
• Install, commission and troubleshoot industrial machines and equipment at customer locations and the demo facility.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Provide technical support to customers and sales teams for product/application-related queries.
• Conduct application testing and machine trials based on customer requirements.
• Assist in identifying machine/equipment problems and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Maintain service records, maintenance schedules, demo equipment records and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for spare parts, repairs, service requirements and technical escalations.
• Support customer visits, trials, demonstrations and technical training programs.
• Ensure proper safety practices are followed during machine operation, maintenance and demonstrations.
• Travel to customer locations whenever required for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Regularly update the TSM regarding service activities, machine status, customer issues and pending technical matters.
