Job summary

Deepak Nitrite in Dahej is seeking an experienced process engineer to support design modifications and project execution. You will review P&ID, PFD, and BFD, and perform material and energy balance calculations for new and existing processes.

You will bring strong knowledge of unit operations in chemical manufacturing, participate in HAZOP/HIRA/PSSR activities, optimize heat exchangers, and lead CAPEX evaluations, pilot plant trials, and technology transfer.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of P&ID, PFD, and BFD for process design and modification projects.
• Perform Material and Energy Balance calculations for new and existing processes.
• Strong understanding of Unit Operations and Unit Processes in the chemical manufacturing industry.
• Participate in and lead HAZOP, HIRA, PSSR, RCA, and CAPA activities to ensure process safety and continuous improvement.
• Design, evaluation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of Heat Exchangers.
• Preparation of CAPEX proposals, techno-commercial evaluations, project execution, and plant commissioning activities.
• Conduct pilot plant trials, process validation, technology transfer, and scale-up from laboratory to commercial production.
• Knowledge of selection, operation, and troubleshooting of Pumps and Agitators.
• Perform Pipe Sizing calculations and select appropriate Materials of Construction (MOC) based on process requirements.
• Utilize SAP for project tracking, maintenance coordination, material management, and documentation control.
