Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Mumbai is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and review Process Design Basis, calculations, PFDs, P&IDs, and datasheets, while performing simulations and equipment sizing.

You will collaborate with multi-discipline teams, support safety studies like HAZOP/HAZID, ensure compliance with codes, and contribute to OSS, Green Hydrogen, ammonia and energy transition projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review Process Design Basis, calculations, and narratives.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, utility flow diagrams, and datasheets.
• Perform process simulations and hydraulic calculations with standard software.
• Size and specify equipment for pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, compressors, tanks, and utility packages.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and other process safety studies.
• Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Review vendor documents, technical bids, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Structural, and Project teams.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
• Support process engineering for Offshore Substations, Green Hydrogen, Ammonia, and energy transition projects.
• Conduct process optimization, troubleshooting, and technical evaluation studies.
• Interface with clients, consultants, licensors, and technology providers.
• Ensure timely delivery and quality of process engineering deliverables.
• Support project proposals, FEED, and detailed engineering activities.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and audits.
