Job summary

Technochem Industries is seeking a sales-oriented professional to drive project sales for turnkey powder coating and finishing plants. You will manage the full techno-commercial cycle from enquiry to order, develop plant concepts, and coordinate with design and projects to prepare detailed proposals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Paint Technology.
• 4 to 8 years in turnkey finishing plant or capital equipment sales, or in paint shop project execution.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop project enquiries for conveyorized powder coating plants, pre-treatment and phosphating lines, drying and curing ovens, overhead and ground conveyors, and complete turnkey finishing lines.
• Conduct customer requirement studies covering component size and weight, throughput, floor area, utilities and finish specification.
• Prepare plant concepts, layout inputs, capacity calculations and detailed techno commercial proposals in coordination with design and projects.
• Present solutions to plant heads, project and purchase teams; negotiate and close capital orders.
• Own cost estimation discipline, protect net margin, and flag any pricing discrepancy before finalization.
• Manage the sales cycle through LOI, PO and advance, then hand over cleanly to the projects team at kick off.
• Build long term relationships with automotive, auto component and general engineering OEMs.

ABOUT TECHNOCHEM INDUSTRIES

Technochem Industries (brand: Osaka) is a Pune based manufacturer of industrial surface coating and finishing systems, established in 1999. We design, build, install and commission turnkey solutions including conveyorized powder coating plants, liquid and powder robotic painting systems, electrostatic spray and bell applicators, phosphating and pre-treatment lines, industrial curing and drying ovens, and overhead and ground conveyors. We serve automotive, auto component, aerospace, heavy fabrication and general engineering customers across India.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Drive project sales of complete and turnkey powder coating and finishing plants and manage the full techno commercial cycle from enquiry to order.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE)

• Understanding of the complete powder coating line flow: load, pre-treatment, drying, powder booth, curing oven, cooling and unload.


• Knowledge of pre-treatment chemistry (degreasing, phosphating, passivation), conveyor types, oven heating (PNG, LPG, electric), and booth and recovery systems.


• Ability to interpret plant layouts, capacity and cycle time calculations, and utility requirements (power, gas, compressed air, water).


• Comfort with capital goods techno commercial proposals and long sales cycles.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Paint Technology.


• 4 to 8 years in turnkey finishing plant or capital equipment sales, or in paint shop project execution.

PREFERRED

• Track record of selling or executing conveyorized powder coating plants or pre-treatment lines.


• Existing OEM and plant level contacts in automotive or auto component clusters.


• Must be able to travel as per project requirement.
