Job summary

Technochem Industries is seeking a Site Installation Supervisor to oversee on-site installation and commissioning of finishing plants. You will act as the bridge between Technochem and the customer at site, coordinating activities, inspections and handover readiness.

The role requires 4–8 years of relevant experience in finishing or paint shop plant installations, with strong mechanical erection and drawing-reading skills. Extensive travel across India is expected.

Qualifications

ABOUT TECHNOCHEM INDUSTRIES

Technochem Industries (brand: Osaka) is a Pune based manufacturer of industrial surface coating and finishing systems, established in 1999. We design, build, install and commission turnkey solutions including conveyorized powder coating plants, liquid and powder robotic painting systems, electrostatic spray and bell applicators, phosphating and pre-treatment lines, industrial curing and drying ovens, and overhead and ground conveyors. We serve automotive, auto component, aerospace, heavy fabrication and general engineering customers across India.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Supervise on site installation and commissioning of finishing plants and act as the bridge between Technochem and the end customer at site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise site activities: mechanical erection, conveyor installation, oven and booth assembly, pre-treatment tank installation, piping and equipment alignment.
• Act as the onsite interface between Technochem and the end customer, aligning day to day execution, work sequence and site readiness.
• Coordinate site labour, fabricators, sub vendors and visiting Technochem engineers.
• Track installation progress against schedule and reports to the Program Manager.
• Conduct pre-commissioning checks and trials and support commissioning and handover.
• Ensure site safety, housekeeping and compliance with customer site norms.
• Raise site issues, snags and scope deviations promptly, and maintain site documentation.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE)

• Practical site experience with conveyorized powder coating plants, ovens, booths, phosphating lines, and liquid and powder coating equipment.
• Ability to read and work from GA, fabrication and erection drawings.
• Understanding of mechanical erection, alignment, piping and basic electrical and utility interfaces.
• Discipline in progress reporting, snag tracking and site coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, or equivalent trade and site experience.
• 4 to 8 years in site installation and commissioning of finishing or paint shop plants.

PREFERRED

• Multi-site turnkey commissioning experience.
• Experience on automotive or auto component customer sites.

TRAVEL

This role requires extensive travel and extended stays at customer sites across India. Please apply only if you are able to travel and be posted at sites for long durations.
