Technochem Industries (brand: Osaka) is seeking an experienced professional to own end-to-end delivery of finishing plant programs from order to commissioning. You will lead technical discussions with customers across liquid and powder coating projects and manage cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget handover.

The role requires hands-on experience with finishing lines, strong coating process knowledge, and ability to read GA drawings, with travel as needed for project execution.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across the full finishing line (conveyors, ovens, booths, phosphating/pre-treatment lines).
• Strong command of both liquid and powder coating processes.
• Ability to read and review mechanical GA drawings and utility schematics.
• Project management skills: scheduling, BOM, costing, milestones and vendor management.

• Lead technical discussions and design freeze meetings with customers.
• Translate requirements into scope, GA drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and manage project plans, schedules, BOMs and milestones across design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams: design, purchase, production, sub vendors and site.
• Manage scope, cost, timeline and change requests; protect project margin.
• Act as the primary technical contact for the customer during execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and site safety requirements.

ABOUT TECHNOCHEM INDUSTRIES

Technochem Industries (brand: Osaka) is a Pune based manufacturer of industrial surface coating and finishing systems, established in 1999. We design, build, install and commission turnkey solutions including conveyorized powder coating plants, liquid and powder robotic painting systems, electrostatic spray and bell applicators, phosphating and pre-treatment lines, industrial curing and drying ovens, and overhead and ground conveyors. We serve automotive, auto component, aerospace, heavy fabrication and general engineering customers across India.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Own end to end delivery of finishing plant programs from order to commissioning and lead technical discussions with customers across liquid and powder coating projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of awarded projects (conveyorized powder coating plants, pre-treatment and phosphating lines, ovens, paint booths, conveyors, and robotic liquid or powder cells) from kick off through commissioning and handover.
• Lead technical discussions and design freeze meetings with customers, and translate requirements into scope, GA drawings and specifications.
• Prepare and manage project plans, schedules, BOMs and milestone tracking across design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Coordinate cross functional teams: design, purchase, production, sub vendors and site.
• Manage scope, cost, timeline and change requests, and protect project margin throughout execution.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer during execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards (NFPA, PESO or ATEX where relevant) and site safety requirements.
• Review and validate technical documents, drawings and pricing before release.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE)

• Hands on experience across the full finishing line: conveyors (overhead and ground), curing and drying ovens, powder and liquid paint booths, and phosphating or pre-treatment plants.
• Strong command of both liquid and powder coating processes.
• Ability to read and review mechanical GA and fabrication drawings and utility schematics.
• Project management skills: scheduling, BOM, costing, and milestone and vendor management.
• Confident and credible in customer facing technical discussions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
• 5 to 8 years in finishing plant design, execution or project management, with demonstrable experience across conveyor, oven, booth, phosphating, and both liquid and powder coating.

PREFERRED

• Delivery of turnkey conveyorized plants for automotive or auto component customers.
• Exposure to ATEX or explosion proof cells and robotic painting installations.
• Must be able to travel as per project requirement.
