Job summary

BQE Software is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead large, cross-functional programs across Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Security and Cloud teams. You will translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution with governance, roadmaps and clear status reporting.

You'll partner with Product managers and Engineering managers to balance priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver major platform initiatives while improving collaboration and operating rhythms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software/tech environments, including 3+ years in PM roles.
• Strong SDLC, Agile/Scrum, QA/QE, DevOps, and cloud/SaaS experience.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multi-team programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

About This Role

BQE Software is looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive alignment and execution across complex, cross-functional technology initiatives within our Product and Engineering organization. This role will serve as a key connector across teams, helping translate strategic priorities into coordinated execution while bringing greater structure, visibility, and predictability to program delivery. The position will work closely with Engineering, Product, Cloud Engineering, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, establish effective operating rhythms, and enable successful delivery of key business and technology priorities.

What You’ll Do/Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage large, cross-functional programs involving Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and other teams.
• Define program objectives, scope, milestones, timelines, and success criteria.
• Create and maintain program plans, roadmaps, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate multiple projects/workstreams and ensure they remain aligned with overall program goals.
• Track progress, identify delays and dependencies, and drive teams toward timely resolution.
• Proactively identify risks, issues, and blockers, develop mitigation plans, and elevate when required.
• Conduct regular program reviews with Engineering and Product leadership.
• Ensure effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate production releases and major technology initiatives where multiple teams are involved.
• Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Facilitate decision-making when multiple teams have competing priorities.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to align product priorities with engineering capacity.
• Manage changes to program scope, timelines, and priorities.
• Present program status, risks, achievements, and recommendations to senior leadership.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software/technology organizations, including 3+ years in program management, technical program management, or complex project management roles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum, QA/QE, DevOps, and cloud/SaaS environments.
• Experience managing multiple teams, parallel workstreams, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Demonstrated experience in program planning, risk and dependency management, governance, status reporting, and delivery tracking.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with Engineering, Product, and senior leadership.
• Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Ability to understand technical issues, dependencies, and trade-offs and communicate them effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Experience working in a B2B SaaS or product-based software organization.
• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology programs spanning Engineering, Product, QA/QE, DevOps/Cloud, Security, or related functions.
• Hands-on experience coordinating major product releases, platform initiatives, migrations, or other multi-team technology programs.
• Relevant project/program or Agile certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, PSM, or SAFe) are preferred
