Job summary

TVS Motor Company in Hosur invites a seasoned NPD professional for 2W (ICE & EV) products. Lead life-cycle management, identify customer and market needs, and drive product plans to achieve QCD targets and profitability.

You will monitor industry trends, coordinate engineering changes, and guide upgrades, variants, and refreshes to boost market share and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BE – 15+ years experience
• PG – 12+ years experience
• Minimum experience in NPD 7 to 10 years

Responsibilities

• Responsible for business objectives (customer delight, new product volume and profitability) in the respective segment
• Deliver hit products - new products upgrades refresh meeting volume and profitability targets
• Monitor industry trends in the respective markets with respect to technology and regulation
• Understand customer needs and lifestyle trends including latent needs of customers
• Continuous tracking of competitor products and forecast future competition
• Creation of rolling product plan by understanding customers, industry, competition and technology ladder
• Drive & implement ENG changes agreed with stakeholders
• Improve product competitiveness through trends in technology and customer insights
• Resolve bottlenecks/risks in product delivery (QCD) and achieve production ramp up
• Review projects periodically & help team to achieve QCD targets

Education

BE – Mechanical / Mechatronics/ Electrical / Electronics/ Automotive / Production

PG – VLFM / MBA / ME or M.Tech or M.S in above said fields

PG in business management, PRJ management or automotive Engg

Purpose of the Role :

Continuously understand customers, markets, competition in respective geographies to develop products in the relevant product segments towards business growth and profitability & Lay down customer facing product requirement.

Managing the life cycle of the products through Long term product planning

Deliver New Product achieving Q,C,D targets for the customer segments

Deliver Upgrades, Variants and Refreshes to enhance customer delight and hence improve market share & profitability.

Role Description
