Job summary

Lead Hr Services in Chennai is seeking a qualified professional to drive New Product Development for automotive systems. The role involves hands-on process development, validation of stamping parts, and tool/equipment selection to meet design specs.

The candidate should have experience in forming, deep drawing, forging and casting, plus expertise in jig/fixture development, automation, and standard work. Strong knowledge of joining processes and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in New Product Development for Automotive systems suppliers.
• Hands-on in process development, validation and confirmation of precision stamping parts (tool design, process & equipment selection).
• Knowledge in forming, deep drawing, cold & hot forging and casting is an added advantage.
• Experience in Jig & Fixture development and system-level assembly equipment with automation and poka-yoke.
• Strong understanding of joining processes like welding, fastening and riveting; experience in process automation.
• Experience in conducting process trials and achieving KPI targets like FTTR, Run@Rate, process capability.

Responsibilities

• New Product / Process Production Preparation as per plan.
• Apply process costing knowledge for ongoing projects.
• Lead New Product Launch activities per plan.
• Manage and ensure QCD targets are met for projects.

Key Responsibility: -

• New Product / Process Production Preparation
• Process costing knowledge
• New Product Launch as per Plan
• Manage & Ensure QCD targets
• Develop Process Standard

Experience & Expected Candidate Profile: -

A. Technical

• Should have work experience in New Product Development(NPD) for Automotive system supplier industry .
• Hands on experience in process development, validation & confirmation of Precision Stamping Parts (Tool Design, Process & Equipment selection)
• Having knowledge and experience in Forming, Deep drawing, Cold & Hot Forging and casting is added advantage
• Good knowledge Jig, Fixture, Product assembly (system level) equipment development and process design with Automation & poka-yoke
• Should of good knowledge on Joining process like Welding, Fastening, Riveting, etc.
• Having knowledge & experience in Process Automation
• Should have hands on experience in conducting process trials achieving and monitoring the KPI targets like FTTR, Run@ Rate/Cycle time, Process Capability, etc.

B. System & Tools

• Should have strong knowledge and experience in adopting IATF requirements, particularly in the area of APQP/PPAP/SPC/MSA
• Good knowledge in Design for Manufacturing & Assembly [DFM & DFA],
  Hands on experience in conducting Process DR for New Product & Process Development with PFMEA approach
• Familiar with measurement techniques.
• Having good knowledge & experience in Trouble shooting & Problem solving thru analytical methods like Process Benchmarking, DOE, QIT, QC story, 8D, etc.,

C. Soft Skills

• Identify & monitoring risk and mitigation plan to meet the customer & management targets.
• Have sound knowledge in cycle time, capacity planning, line set-up, method study, etc.
• A Good Team Play and Collaborative member to keep up the team spirit with good communication knowledge
• Basic knowledge on Industry 4.0
