Job summary

The Whole Truth Foods seeks a Field Service & Technical Operations Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated vending systems across India. The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, automation, and dispensing system knowledge and frequent travel.

You will be the first line of support for uptime, responsible for commissioning, preventive maintenance, and training operators and local teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in vending machine organizations.
• B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.

Role: Field Service & Technical Operations Engineer

As we scale our automated smoothie vending network across India, we're looking for a hands-on

Service Engineer who will ensure our vending systems operate reliably and consistently across multiple locations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems in the field and working with a combination of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, automation, and dispensing systems.

Role Overview:

The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of automated smoothie vending machines deployed across India.

The role requires frequent travel and a strong bias toward ownership and problem-solving.

You will be the first line of support for machine uptime and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission vending machines at new locations.
• Conduct machine acceptance checks before go-live.
• Train operators and local support teams on machine operation.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, dispensing, and control system issues.
• Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, pumps, motors, PLCs, HMIs, and communication systems.
• Maintain machine uptime and reliability targets.

Breakdown Management

• Respond to machine breakdowns and service requests.
• Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate with OEM teams when required.

Spare Parts Management

• Maintain critical spare inventory.
• Track component failures and replacement history.
• Recommend stocking strategies to improve uptime.

Performance Monitoring

• Identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Support software and firmware upgrades when required.

Documentation

• Maintain service reports and maintenance records.
• Develop SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance checklists.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and operational standards.

Candidate Profile:

• 1- 2 years of relevant experience from vending machine organisation
• B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics Engineering
