Job summary

Ushakiron Movies Private Limited - Ramoji Film City is seeking a senior projects leader to drive expansion, redevelopment, and experiential projects. You will translate creative ideas into safe, cost-efficient engineering solutions and manage end-to-end planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Qualifications

  • 25 to 30 years of relevant experience in Civil and MEP project execution.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years in a leadership role managing large-scale infrastructure or experiential projects.
  • Prior experience in theme parks, entertainment destinations, or large integrated developments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning and end-to-end execution of expansion, redevelopment, and experiential projects.
  • Translate creative concepts into technically feasible, safe, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource deployment strategies ensuring project efficiency.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, scope, and budgets through robust cost control and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly progress reviews to track milestones, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Integrate departmental workflows to ensure seamless execution across all engineering and support functions.
  • Oversee design, construction, and maintenance of civil works including buildings, themed structures, roads, paths, landscapes, water bodies, and structural elements.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for smooth execution.
  • Lead planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of all MEP systems including power distribution, HVAC, lighting, water supply, drainage, fire safety, STP/WTP, and automation.
  • Drive energy-efficient, sustainable, and technology-driven engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with creative, operations, and attractions teams to ensure collaboration and alignment.
  • Integrate technical systems with guest experience requirements including special effects, lighting, sound, and show control.
  • Identifiy, evaluate, and onboard consultants, contractors, and vendors; negotiate contracts supporting safety and cost targets.
  • Establish QA/QC frameworks; ensure safety compliance per NBC norms, fire, electrical, environmental regs.
  • Lead budget management, including cost estimates and capex planning; monitor expenditure and variations.
  • Oversee technical operations of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Communication departments; ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies, automation, and SOPs across units.
  • Lead and mentor Civil and MEP teams; coordinate with Operations, Attractions, Events, Safety, Procurement, and Finance.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Translate creative and experiential concepts into technically feasible, safe, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource deployment strategies ensuring project efficiency.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, scope, and budgets through robust cost control and monitoring mechanisms.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly progress reviews to track milestones, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Integrate departmental workflows to ensure seamless execution across all engineering and support functions.
Civil Engineering Oversight
  • Oversee design, construction, and maintenance of civil works including buildings, themed structures, roads, pathways, landscapes, water bodies, and structural elements.
  • Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, statutory norms, and quality assurance benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders for smooth execution.
  • Monitor lifecycle performance and maintenance planning of all civil assets.
MEP Engineering Oversight
  • Lead planning, installation, testing, commissioning, and effective maintenance of all MEP systems including power distribution, HVAC, lighting, water supply, drainage, fire-fighting systems, STP/WTP, and automation systems.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility services across attractions, studios, events, and guest areas.
  • Drive energy-efficient, sustainable, and technology-driven engineering solutions.
Experiential & Thematic Integration
  • Work closely with creative, operations, and attractions teams to ensure strong inter-departmental collaboration and alignment.
  • Integrate technical systems with guest experience requirements including special effects, lighting, sound, and show control systems.
  • Ensure technical reliability, safety, and operational ease post project handover.
Vendor, Contractor & Consultant Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular site reviews, inspections, and progress meetings to ensure quality and timelines.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Establish and enforce robust quality assurance (QA/QC) frameworks across all projects and maintenance works.
  • Ensure strict safety compliance, including NBC norms, fire safety, electrical safety, environmental regulations, and statutory approvals.
  • Implement proactive risk management practices to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and project risks.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all engineering departments.
Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Lead budget management, including preparation of project cost estimates and capex planning.
  • Monitor expenditure, control cost variations, and ensure financial discipline across all projects.
  • Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs without compromising quality or experience.
  • Review and certify contractor bills and ensure proper financial closure of projects.
Technical Operations & Maintenance Governance
  • Oversee technical operations of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Communication departments across all business units/companies.
  • Ensure performance efficiency, uptime, and reliability of all engineering systems.
  • Establish systems for inventory management of engineering materials, spares, and consumables.
  • Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance practices are implemented effectively across all assets.
Technology & Process Integration
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies, automation, and smart systems in engineering and maintenance functions.
  • Ensure integration of departmental processes for seamless coordination and improved operational efficiency.
  • Standardize engineering practices, SOPs, and maintenance protocols across units.
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead and mentor Civil and MEP teams, ensuring skill development and performance management.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Attractions, Events, Safety, Procurement, and Finance teams.
  • Establish SOPs, technical standards, and best practices for project execution and maintenance.

Preferred candidate profile
  • 25 to 30 years of relevant experience in Civil and MEP project execution
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years in a leadership role managing large-scale infrastructure or experiential projects
  • Prior experience in theme parks, entertainment destinations, hospitality, or large integrated developments will be an added advantage
  • Proven experience in executing large-scale civil and MEP projects from concept to commissioning
  • Experience in handling expansion and redevelopment projects in high-footfall environments
  • Exposure to experiential / themed projects, integrating engineering with creative concepts
