Job summary

Cygnus Technik India is seeking a technically adept candidate to engage with CNC customers, study drawings, and support tooling decisions. The role involves field trials, tool performance monitoring, and close collaboration with engineering teams to optimize cutting processes.

Candidates should have a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in mechanical disciplines and be comfortable traveling to client sites. Training will be provided by Cygnus, with opportunities to develop hands-on tooling expertise.

Qualifications

• Diploma or engineering degree in mechanical fields.
• Basic knowledge of CNC turning and milling.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and depths of cut.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, inserts and tool holders.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer interaction skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Technical training will be provided by Cygnus.

Responsibilities

• Visit manufacturing companies and CNC machining customers to understand machining requirements.
• Study component drawings, materials, machining operations and existing tooling.
• Support cutting-tool selection based on the application.
• Coordinate and conduct cutting-tool trials at customer sites.
• Monitor tool performance, tool life, surface finish and cycle time.
• Prepare application and trial reports.
• Provide technical support and follow up on ongoing applications.
• Develop relationships with production, process and engineering teams.
• Coordinate with the internal technical team for tool selection and application support.
• Travel regularly to customer manufacturing facilities.

• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Basic understanding of cutting tools, inserts and tool holders.
