About the Role
The Technical Account Manager (Pre-Sales) at Rubiscape occupies a unique intersection of relationship management and technical depth owning the long-term technical health and expansion trajectory of our most strategic enterprise accounts through the pre-sales and early post-sales phases. You will combine the commercial instincts of an Account Manager with the platform expertise of a Solutions Consultant, ensuring that each accounts Decision Intelligence journey expands from initial use case to platform-wide adoption across RubiFlow, RubiSight, RubiStudio, and RubiAI. You are the trusted technical advisor who turns a 90-day first production win into a multi-year enterprise partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of 8-15 strategic enterprise accounts, managing relationships with data engineering leads, CDOs, and IT decision-makers through the pre-sales and onboarding phases.
- Drive platform expansion within accounts by identifying new use cases, additional studio deployments, and integration opportunities across Rubiscapes full product suite.
- Conduct regular technical health reviews and executive business reviews (EBRs) that map platform adoption metrics to the customers evolving Decision Intelligence roadmap.
- Lead PoC scoping and delivery for expansion opportunities within existing accounts applying discovery, solution design, and ROI modelling disciplines to land upsell and cross-sell motions.
- Act as the internal advocate for account-specific requirements, coordinating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to resolve technical escalations and influence roadmap prioritisation.
- Develop account-specific platform adoption plans that demonstrate a clear path to 5x TCO reduction and measurable business outcomes within 12-18 months of initial deployment.
- Produce technical account plans, stakeholder maps, and expansion business cases that equip Account Executives with the intelligence needed to grow ARR within the portfolio.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in technical account management, customer success engineering, or pre-sales consulting within enterprise data, analytics, or SaaS platforms.
- Strong technical grounding in data platform architecture able to discuss ETL/ELT pipelines, BI governance, MLOps workflows, and cloud deployment models credibly with engineering teams.
- Demonstrated success managing and growing a portfolio of enterprise accounts with ARR exceeding INR 50L per account, including upsell and renewal ownership.
- Experience conducting executive business reviews and creating data-driven account health reports that influence executive-level renewal and expansion decisions.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud data platform ecosystem (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated enterprise data services (storage, compute, security, identity).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a hybrid pre-sales/post-sales or "land and expand" technical role at a data platform, analytics SaaS, or AI infrastructure vendor.
- Knowledge of enterprise customer success methodologies (Gainsight, ChurnZero) and their application to technical account planning.
- Exposure to IoT, real-time streaming, or edge analytics use cases relevant to manufacturing and utilities customers using RubiThings.
- Experience working within Indias enterprise procurement cycles across BFSI, government, and large conglomerates.
