The TechRelationship Manager (TRM) is responsible for end ‑ to ‑ end technicaldelivery, production stability, and performance management of NPCI paymentproducts across assigned banking partners. The role blends technology,operations, business analysis, project management, and client relationshipmanagement, ensuring seamless onboarding, certification, production rollout,and continuous system optimization. The Tech RM serves as the single point oftechnical ownership for partner banks and plays a critical role in drivingtechnology projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining platformresilience, and supporting the growth and stability of multiple NPCIproducts.
Own thefull lifecycle of bank integrations: onboarding, certification, productionrollout, and post ‑ productionvalidation.
Driverequirement understanding and alignment through TSDs, BRDs, FRDs, andOperational Circulars.
Leadtechnical discussions with bank teams and ensure solution design alignment.
ManageUAT, pre ‑ productionreadiness, internal sanity testing, and rollout planning (CUG → Full scale).
Trackdependencies, risks, timelines, and milestones using structured project plansand trackers.
Coordinateclosely with internal Product, Technology, Operations, Network, andCertification teams to ensure smooth delivery.
2. Client& Relationship Management
Act asthe primary technical interface for partner banks across all NPCI products.
Build andmanage strong relationships with bank IT, operations, and seniorstakeholders.
Drivedaily coordination and project execution with Bank Technology teams, TSPs,and ASPs.
Conductstructured monthly performance and governance reviews covering projects,stability, and growth
3. ProductionStability, Performance & Incident Management
Monitortransaction performance, error codes, and decline trends (TD / BD metrics).
Ensureadherence to NPCI performance thresholds and SLAs.
Drivelong ‑ termcorrective and preventive actions to improve success rates and systemresilience.
Regularlytrack operational issues such as downtime, declines, and integration gaps.
4. Scalability,Infrastructure & Network Readiness
Work withbank and internal teams to enhance scalability, capacity planning, andresilience.
Drivedevice upgrades, bandwidth enhancements, link optimization, and Active ‑ Active / HA setupenablement.
Ensuretimely replacement of End ‑ of ‑ Life (EOL)infrastructure and required commercial approvals.
Manage IPallocation, whitelisting, and secure connectivity for UAT and productionenvironments.
5. BusinessAnalysis & Techno ‑ Functional Ownership
Act as atechno ‑ functionalbusiness analyst bridging business, regulatory, and technology requirements.
Capture,document, and manage requirements through BRD / FRD / TSD, ensuringtraceability (RTM).
PerformAS ‑ IS / TO ‑ BE processanalysis, identify gaps, and recommend automation and optimization.
Conductimpact analysis for regulatory changes, product upgrades, and migrations.
Supportfunctional testing, certification, and UAT validation to ensure complianceand zero settlement impact.
6. Data Analysis,Reporting & Business Insight
Anayzetransaction data, trends, KPIs, and operational metrics.
PrepareMIS, dashboards, and performance reports for banks and internal stakeholders.
Provideactionable insights to improve performance, reduce declines, and enhancecustomer experience.
TrackNPCI business volumes for assigned accounts along with relevant market andcompetitor benchmarks.
7. OperationalSupport & Customer Experience
Supportresolution of reconciliation issues, chargebacks, disputes, and operationalescalations.
Ensureclosure of customer complaints and queries within defined TATs incoordination with internal teams.
Identifyrecurring operational gaps and drive process improvements aligned withindustry best practices.
