Job summary

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is seeking a Relationship Manager to grow strategic partnerships with issuing and acquiring banks, driving adoption of NPCI’s digital payment products such as UPI, AEPS, IMPS, cards acquiring, and RuPay cards. Strong stakeholder management and in-depth domain knowledge in cards payments are required.

The Relationship Managerwill be responsible for managing and growing strategic partnerships withissuing and acquiring banks to drive adoption and growth of NPCI’s Digitalpayment products UPI, IMPS, AEPS, NFS, Card Acquiring, Debit card & RuPay CreditCard. The role requires strong stakeholder management, deep domain expertise innon cards payments and credit cards, acquiring business, and payment solutions,along with a sharp understanding of the digital payments’ ecosystem. The roledemands ownership of go-to-market strategies, Business growth, and data-drivendecision-making through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Build,nurture, and manage strategic relationships with partner banks and keystakeholders across the digital payment’s ecosystem.
  • Engagewith senior management at partner banks through structured reviews, governancemeetings, and executive interactions.
  • Ownbusiness growth targets, monthly tracking, and portfolio expansion across NPCIdigital payment products and RuPay credit cards.
  • Demonstratestrong P&L understanding, contribute to business strategy, commercialframeworks, and incentive structures.
  • Deepproduct understanding of digital payment solutions (UPI, Cards, Acquiring,etc.) with the ability to drive product adoption
  • Identifygrowth opportunities across banks/partners through market insights andcompetitive analysis; drive GTM strategy, support launch of newproducts/use-cases, and scale market share of NPCI digital payment products
  • Leadend-to-end execution of credit programs, commercial deals, incentive campaigns,and activation initiatives.
  • Strongtechno-functional understanding of payment systems, technology integration, andend-to-end payment architecture; capable of driving seamless productimplementation, managing partner integrations, and resolving challenges acrossthe payment ecosystem
  • Collaboratecross-functionally with product, operations, technology, finance, and riskteams for seamless execution.
  • Managemultiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely delivery and high-qualityexecution.
  • Trackperformance metrics, prepare MIS, and derive insights using data analytics toidentify growth opportunities.
  • Resolvepartner queries and escalations within defined TATs ensuring high customersatisfaction.
  • Maintaina strong understanding of the digital payments’ ecosystem, regulatoryenvironment, and market trends.
  • AI skills for Datainsights, work automation, Understanding dashboards, portfolio management,revenue forecasting, Compliance checks, CRM updates

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+years of relevant experience in Cards & Digital Payments business.
  • Proventrack record of structuring and executing digital payment and credit cardbusinesses.
