Tech Mahindra Early Career + Makers Lab internships — semester and summer placements building Java Spring Boot apps deployed on Azure with DevOps automation. Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru positions. Strong PPO conversion to TechM Software Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Build Spring Boot backend services for client engagements (Early Career) or for internal platforms like NetOps.ai or GAiA (Makers Lab).
• Integrate with Azure managed services – Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Functions for serverless components, Azure Cosmos DB for document storage, Azure Cognitive Services for AI‑augmented features (common in Makers Lab work).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins (depending on team standard).
• Containerise Spring Boot apps with multi‑stage Dockerfiles.
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code in Bicep, Terraform, or ARM templates.
• Conduct peer code reviews on intern peer projects.
• Attend Tech Mahindra learning programs for foundational Azure modules.
• Pair‑program with senior engineers.
• Present your internship work at the closing showcase, with Makers Lab interns potentially presenting to internal innovation committees.
• Receive weekly 1:1 mentor meetings, fortnightly review with engineering manager, and end‑of‑internship 360‑degree review.

Requirements

Currently pursuing B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech in CS, IT, or related engineering — graduating in 2026, 2027, or 2028 (depending on internship length). CGPA 7.0+, no active backlogs. Strong Java foundations (Java 17 preferred), working Spring Boot knowledge (REST APIs, JPA basics, dependency injection), familiarity with at least one cloud (Azure preferred). Git fluency. For Makers Lab applications: strong interest in emerging tech (AI/ML, blockchain, IoT) is a significant advantage. Bonus: AZ‑900 certification, prior Azure deployments, Docker exposure, GitHub portfolio with at least one Spring Boot project, any AI/ML coursework or projects (Makers Lab). Legal and academic eligibility: you must be enrolled in an accredited Indian or recognised foreign university and present a no‑objection certificate from your institution for the internship period. Tech Mahindra sponsors visa and relocation support where applicable but most candidates from Hyderabad‑area institutions can attend from existing residence.
