The role includes preventive and breakdown maintenance, calibration management, troubleshooting, project execution, and ensuring seamless automation operations with SHE and ISO 45001 alignment.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 2-7 years of relevant Instrumentation & Automation experience.
• Hands-on maintenance of PLC/SCADA and field instruments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, field instruments, and automation systems.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Perform calibration planning and execution through SAP PM Module.
• Handle Schneider PLC & SCADA programming, graphics development, and automation troubleshooting.
• Prepare instrument index, IO lists, hook-up drawings, loop diagrams, and BOMs.

Instrumentation & Automation (R&D)

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Instrumentation & Automation professional to support and maintain field instrumentation, PLC/SCADA systems, and automation infrastructure across R&D facilities, Pilot Plant, Kilo Labs, and Central Utilities. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, calibration management, troubleshooting, project execution, and ensuring seamless automation operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, field instruments, and automation systems.

Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

Perform calibration planning and execution through SAP PM Module.

Handle Schneider PLC & SCADA programming, graphics development, and automation troubleshooting.

Manage field instruments including:

• Flow Meters (Mass, Mag, Vortex, Orifice)
• Pressure, Differential Pressure & Vacuum Transmitters
• Temperature Instruments (RTD, Thermocouples)
• Radar Level Transmitters
• Control Valves & Ball Valves
• Weighing Systems
• Gas Detection & Fire Alarm Systems
• VFDs, pH & O Analyzers

Participate in automation projects, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system upgrades.

Prepare technical documents including:

• Instrument Index
• IO Lists
• Hook-up Drawings
• Loop Diagrams
• Cable Schedules
• BOM & Specification Datasheets

Conduct root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure compliance with SHE, ISO 45001, and engineering SOPs.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors for project execution and maintenance activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent.

Experience

• 2-7 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Automation.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in Schneider/Honeywell PLC & SCADA.
• Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, VFDs, Profibus Communication, Remote IOs, IMCC, Simocode.
• Strong understanding of P&I D, plant layout, FAT, SAT, HAZOP, JSA, and process safety.
• Experience in maintenance, commissioning, erection, and project execution.
• Knowledge of SAP PM Module will be preferred.
