Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking anInstrumentation Engineer in Gujarat with 3–4 years of experience to design and select field instrumentation and to develop related control documents. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in instrumentation or related engineering field.
• 3–4 years of experience in instrumentation and control.

Responsibilities

• Design and selection of field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical).
• Develop and review datasheets, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control documents.
• Support installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of instruments.
• Work with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems for integration and control.
• Troubleshoot instrument and control-related issues in plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISA, IEC standards and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with process, electrical, and automation teams for projects.
• Design and implement integration between SAP (ERP, PM, MM, PP, QM) and SCADA/DCS for real-time data exchange.
• Support IIoT, sensor integration, and advanced data acquisition.
• Design and maintain smart instrumentation systems ensuring connectivity between field instruments, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and enterprise platforms.
• Learn and contribute to PLC/DCS/SCADA programming and integration.
• Collaborate with automation, IT, and process engineering teams to deploy digital solutions like predictive maintenance and real-time monitoring.

Role & responsibilities:

• Design and selection of field instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, analytical).
• Develop and review instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control system documents.
• Support installation, commissioning, calibration, and maintenance of instruments.
• Work with PLC/DCS/SCADA systems for integration and control.
• Troubleshoot instrument and control-related issues in plant operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, industry standards (ISA, IEC), and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with process, electrical, and automation teams for project execution.
• Design, select, and implement field instrumentation and control systems in alignment with digitisation objectives.
• Design and implement integration solutions between SAP systems (ERP, PM, MM, PP, QM)and SCADA/DCS platforms for real-time data exchange.
• Support IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), sensor integration, and advanced data acquisition systems.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining smart instrumentation systems, integrating IoT-enabled devices, and ensuring seamless connectivity between field instruments, PLC/DCS, SCADA, and enterprise platforms.
• Learn and contribute to PLC/DCS/SCADA system programming and integration.
• Collaborate with automation, IT, and process engineering teamsto deploy digital solutions (e.g., predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring).

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation Engineering / Electronics / Electrical / Control Engineeringor related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in instrumentation and control (projects or maintenance), with exposure to digitisation or smart plant initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, MQTT, etc.).
• Familiarity with communication protocols(HART, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Foundation Fieldbus).
• Experience with IIoT platforms, or predictive analytics toolsis an advantage.
