Job summary

Rotehügels in India (Gujarat) is seeking a Maintenance Engineer – Instrumentation & Automation to sustain and optimize plant instrumentation, automation, and process control systems. You will ensure accurate process monitoring and reliable automation for continuous plant operation.

Key responsibilities include calibrating transmitters, maintaining PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, and supporting process optimization through automation improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical & Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in instrumentation and automation maintenance in process industries.
• Hands‑on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider, ABB, or equivalent).
• Experience with DCS/SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, HART).
• Knowledge of process control loops, PID tuning, and field instrumentation.
• Experience with calibration and loop checking.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain field instruments including pressure, flow, level, temperature, pH, conductivity, and analytical instruments.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot transmitters, control valves, actuators, and analyzers.
• Maintain PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI, and industrial communication systems.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of instrumentation systems.
• Support process optimization through automation improvements.
• Diagnose and rectify control system faults.
• Maintain calibration records and instrument documentation.
• Coordinate shutdown maintenance and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and calibration standards.
• Support cybersecurity and backup of automation systems where applicable.
