Job summary

Re-Sustainability in Hyderabad, India seeks an Instrumentation Senior Engineer to design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and control systems across sites in India. You will monitor and automate processes to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

The role requires expertise in instrumentation, PLC programming, SCADA/DCS configuration, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust control solutions.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to supervise installation and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and selection of field instruments such as: Temperature transmitters, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level transmitters, gas analyzers.
• Preparation of instrument datasheets, instrument index, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, cable schedules, I/O list.
• Configuration and troubleshooting of PLC / SCADA / DCS systems.
• Development and modification of control logic for pyrolysis reactors, condensation, and gas systems.
• Integration of field instruments with control panels and HMI.
• Troubleshooting communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, RS485, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
• Supervise installation of instruments, control panels, and field wiring.
• Perform loop checking, calibration, and functional testing.
• Commission automation systems and ensure proper interlocks and safety shutdowns.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules for instruments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to process control and instrumentation failures.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for critical instruments.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous area standards such as ATEX Directive & IECEx System.
• Ensure proper earthing, intrinsic safety barriers, and flameproof installations.
• Support HAZOP, safety audits, and shutdown activities.
• Maintain as-built drawings and documentation.
• Prepare technical reports, modification proposals, and troubleshooting records.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical teams.
