Job summary

Welmade Locking Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a Safety & Administration professional to implement and monitor workplace safety systems in line with statutory requirements and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards. The role demands hands-on safety leadership in a manufacturing environment and proactive risk mitigation across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Safety and Administration roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance under the Factory Act and applicable safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and 5S systems.
• ADIS / NEBOSH / IOSH or equivalent safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace safety systems in line with statutory requirements and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 standards.
• Conduct safety audits, including NC audits, near miss identification, root cause analysis, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Organize and conduct Tool Box Talks (TBT), safety awareness sessions, and induction training for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Carry out daily safety rounds and joint safety observations with SBU/department heads.
• Participate in and conduct Cross Functional Team (CFT) audits and ensure horizontal deployment of best safety practices.
• Track and update safety Kaizen initiatives and continuous improvement actions.
• Conduct 5S audits and ensure compliance with workplace organization standards.
• Maintain emergency preparedness systems including fire extinguisher inspections, refilling, and MIS records.
• Conduct safety awareness programs and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Promote a culture of safety across all departments.

  • Manage and maintain stationery and consumable inventories to ensure uninterrupted availability.
  • Coordinate procurement of stationery and consumable items as per approved lists and budget.
  • Maintain accurate MIS and expense records for administrative consumables and utilities.
  • Coordinate facility-related activities such as water tank cleaning, pest control, fogging, and hygiene services.
  • Ensure availability and control of QC OK stickers and other safety or quality identification materials.
  • Coordinate monthly submission of water bills and monitor utility expenses.
• Conduct safety awareness programs and training sessions for employees and contractors.
• Promote a culture of safety across all departments.

Competency (Candidate Profile)

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Safety and Administration roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance under the Factory Act and applicable safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015, and 5S systems.
