Job summary

Qualifications

  • 1-6 years of relevant experience in plant safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Train employees and contractors in safety induction and ongoing programs.
  • Organize safety trainings, mock drills, toolbox talks, and audits.
  • Attend plant safety meetings and close safety points.
  • Promote safety through signage and campaigns.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections; ensure CAPA is implemented.

  • Inspect PPE and equipment; ensure 100% LOTO and permit compliance.

Business Responibilities
  • Training and Employee Engagement:
  • Conduct safety induction for new employees and contractors
  • Organize periodic safety training, mock drills, and toolbox talks
  • Attend safety meetings in the plant and closing safety points of such meetings.
  • Promote safety awareness through signage, literature, and campaigns
  • Safety Audits and Inspections
  • Participate in internal and external safety audits; ensure CAPA implementation
  • Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and compliance
  • Inspect all safety equipment and maintain them in good manner
  • Safety and Fire & Emergency Preparedness
  • Ensure good health of safety guards, safety interlocks, hand tools and power tools in the plant
  • Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedure
  • Ensure compliance with fire risk assessments and emergency response plans.
  • Maintain fire safety systems (hydrants, extinguishers, alarms).
  • Train employees on emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.
  • Incident Reporting & Analysis
  • Report and investigate all incidents and near misses via internal portal
  • Maintain incident trend analysis and identify potential loss areas
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and preventive actions
  • Workplace safety & Compliance
  • Ensure hygiene, 5S, and safety displays across the plant.
  • Risk assessment, HAZOP study, Factories Act 1948, FMEA, legal frameworks for safety
  • Monitor hazardous substances, noise, ventilation, and dust levels.
  • Conduct BBS program in plan to build and improve safety culture
  • Ensure BBS drives across the plant by creative way and engage employee and contractor workers towards safety culture improvement
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Work Permit and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) systems
  • Maintain and inspect PPEs and safety equipment
  • Legal & Statutory Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, IMS, and other applicable regulations
  • Use platforms like Polestar and GRC for legal compliance tracking
  • Budget & Resource Management
