Job summary

TVS Motor invites applications for a Team Leader - Vehicle Assembly in Mysore. The role oversees production lines, ensures quality and safety, and drives hourly targets with skilled workmen across shifts.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering with 0-7 years of experience.
  • Graduate in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering with 0-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Purpose: Consistently achieve Quality Delivery (QD) targets on an hourly basis in the assigned zone/bay.
  • Ensure safe operations and adherence to manufacturing standards.
  • Conduct Sunrise meetings and deploy workmen based on the skill matrix.
  • Organize resources to meet production requirements and shift targets.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials as per the production plan.
  • Conduct hourly PDCA reviews on quality and delivery performance.
  • Achieve first-hour, hourly, and shift production targets.
  • Audit and improve 2S, Job Handling (JH), workplace safety, and unsafe conditions.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coordinate certification activities for workmen.
  • Motivate employees to participate in TEIAN and QCC initiatives.

Team Leader - Vehicle Assembly
Purpose
  • Consistently achieve Quality Delivery (QD) targets on an hourly basis in the assigned zone/bay.
  • Ensure safe operations and adherence to manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Sunrise meetings and deploy workmen based on the skill matrix.
  • Organize resources to meet production requirements and shift targets.
  • Ensure availability of raw materials as per the production plan.
  • Conduct hourly PDCA reviews on quality and delivery performance.
  • Achieve first-hour, hourly, and shift production targets.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to TMOS, process standards, and operating procedures.
  • Initiate corrective actions for customer complaints, internal defects, and non-conforming products.
  • Audit and improve 2S, Job Handling (JH), workplace safety, and unsafe conditions.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coordinate certification activities for workmen.
  • Motivate employees to participate in TEIAN and QCC initiatives.
  • Facilitate QCC projects and support implementation of improvement suggestions.
  • Respond to employee concerns, provide counselling, and address grievances.
  • Review workmen performance on quality, delivery, attendance, and efficiency parameters.
Authority
  • Redeploy workmen based on operational requirements and competency levels.
  • Stop, correct, and restart production processes in case of non-conformities.
  • Plan and execute setup changes as required.
  • Recommend workmen leave, compensatory off, permissions, movement slips, and store requests.
Educational Qualification Experience
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering with 0-7 years of experience.
  • Graduate in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering with 0-3 years of experience.
