Job summary

Pasona is seeking a Production Team Leader in the Manufacturing sector to oversee shift operations, manning, and performance metrics at Malur, with readiness to relocate. The candidate will drive SQCDP targets, enforce SOPs, and lead continuous improvement through Kaizen and 5S practices.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile or related field with 3-5 years of Automotive/Manufacturing experience. Interactions with cross-functional teams and regular Gemba patrols are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile or related field required.
• 3-5 years of experience in the Automotive/Manufacturing industry required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily shift communication meetings and communicate SQCDP targets.
• Allocate manpower, monitor absenteeism and ensure production starts on time.
• Coordinate with CFT members for smooth production.
• Monitor shift/day-wise production, machine performance, downtime, productivity and OEE.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, process parameters and 100% inspection requirements.
• Identify abnormalities, monitor 4M change points, initiate corrective actions and support problem-solving activities.
• Maintain production records, downtime reports, inventory and system updates using MCFrame/NPR/Excel.
• Ensure 5S, safety, PPE compliance, near-miss reporting and FIFO implementation.
• Drive Kaizen, waste reduction, rejection/rework reduction and continuous improvement activities.
• Conduct regular Gemba patrols to identify abnormalities and provide immediate feedback.
• Monitor operator performance, maintain discipline, train team members, build teamwork and ensure effective shift handover.
